The first month of school at Strelitz International Academy has been filled with joy, connection, and a sense of community spirit as students, parents, and teachers came together to launch another exciting academic year.

We kicked off the school year with our annual Open House, where students eagerly met their teachers, brought in school supplies, and reconnected with friends after summer break. Families also enjoyed a sweet treat from the Magic Treats Ice Cream Truck, adding an extra scoop of fun to the day.

 For our kindergarten families, a new initiative began this year: the Kindergarten Parenting Group, led by Rashi Brashevitzky. Each Tuesday morning, kindergarten parents gather to share experiences, exchange ideas, and discuss the joys and challenges of parenting during this important milestone year.

Another highlight of the month was our Back-to-School Night, where parents had the opportunity to learn more about classroom routines, curriculum, and the exciting year ahead. Our Parent Breakfast brought families together in a warm and welcoming environment, strengthening the bonds of our school community.

We also celebrated our first Early Years Shabbat Sing-Along of the year, where young students and their family members joined together in song and tradition. This cherished event reflected both the joyful spirit of our youngest learners and the importance of family in the SIA experience.

It has been a busy and meaningful first month, filled with milestones, memories, and community connections. We are excited for the year ahead and all the learning, growth, and celebrations still to come!
