School And Community

Dear Parents, Trustees, Faculty and Staff,

Strelitz International Academy provides students with life ready skills, knowledge, and a learning environment designed to equip them to be problem solvers, critical thinkers, collaborators, and active global citizens. Our goal is to provide a challenging curriculum that prepares our students with a strong foundation for lifelong learning as they develop a confident sense of self steadfast in Jewish ethics and values.

The past two years have been challenging for all of us, and we can say without a doubt that we would not have been able to deliver our mission without the hard work, support, and dedication of our amazing community: SIA Faculty, Parents, Students, Staff, Trustees, Campus, JFS, and Federation. As we prepare for the future, we are excited and looking forward to a bright future at SIA!

The SIA community has much to celebrate:

• 1) SIA continues to successfully implement the recommended health and safety mitigation strategies in order to provide in person learning for all our students!
• 2) SIA received full authorization as an International Baccalaureate® World School Primary Years Program and is the only IB® PYP school in Hampton Roads.
• 3) SIA has one of our highest participation rates in our Annual SIA Fund Campaign from our current SIA families, Faculty and Trustees!
• 4) SIA is experiencing one of our highest enrollment rates in our recent history!
• 5) SIA’s diverse student population represents families from more than 10 different countries!

As we develop our plans for the future, the financial impact of the past two years on the school’s future continues to evolve. Our goal is to steward SIA’s resources responsibly and plan for the future, while ensuring we remain an educational leader in the Hampton Roads area. This Strategic Plan is a living document. We invite every parent, community member, and friend of the school to join us as we work together to accomplish our vision. As we look to the future, we are excited to implement changes for growth.
