Early Years Program Extended Day Enrichment
The EYP Extended Day program is offered after 12:30 pm dismissal. Students may register for Extended Day programs from one to five days weekly. Children can be picked up from the extended day program at 3:30 p.m. in the carpool lobby. The children have an outside play, a snack and participate in the extended day enrichment activity.
Monday-Wednesday – Groups rotate between three activities on these three days.
Story Stretchers: Stories come “off the page” as children investigate, explore, and extend well-known children’s books! Activities may include working with different artistic media or developing scientific questions. Sometimes they may integrate both topics!
Cooking/Gardening: Students will create their afternoon snack linking it with a current theme. When possible, we hope to integrate fresh ingredients from our gardens.
Hebrew Enrichment: Students participate in a period of fun and engaging activities that reinforce basic Hebrew vocabulary.
Thursday – Moovin’ and Groovin’ Students use large muscles, indoors and outdoors – music and movement, balls and balance beams! (Please note that this is not an organized sports team experience.)
Friday – Friday Film Festival Students relax and end a busy week with educational programs such as “Sid the Science Kid” and “Magic School Bus”.
